Jasmine
(Jasminum
grandiflorum)
Historically and in many
religious traditions, Jasmine flowers symbolize hope, happiness and
love. Because of it’s powerful effect on the emotions and on
hormonal systems, jasmine is often effective for a very long list of
physical, mental and emotional disorders, including menstrual pain,
labor pains, muscle spasms, skin care, sprains, uterine disorders, ect.
Jasmine flowers are extremely fragile and it takes approximately 3 1/2
million fresh picked (in the morning hours) blossoms to make a pound of
Jasmine oil. This makes pure, therapeutic grade Jasmine extremely
pricey and, of course, the chemical substitutes do not contain the
constituents and properties of the real thing.
Therapeutic Properties: Anti-depressant, stimulant, aphrodisiac, anti-spasmodic, sedative.
