Single Oils Information

Scroll down for information on each of the single Essential Oils that we offer.

There are many wonderful single oils that promote healing. Many of them, however, have lists of cautions—particularly when being used on pregnant women, children, the elderly, or people with seizure disorders. To be fair, the majority of problems with essential oils result from a personal allergy or from taking the oil internally. Single essential oils have been used sagely for centuries by reasonably caution people who have tried to educate themselves. However, in our opinion, the strongest of these oils can be utilized more effectively as a part of a well-done blend where they make up only a small percentage of the entire blend. This allows you to take advantage of all the wonderful properties of the single oil with less chance of overdose and with the inclusion of oils that moderate and support each other incorporated into the blend. The use of good blends raises the effectiveness of essential oils to entirely new levels.

The information in this document is based on traditional uses and current literature. They have not been evaluated by the FDA, nor are they meant to diagnose or treat any ailment or condition. They are provided here as a public service and for your information only.

Angelica (Angelica archangelica)

Is referred to by the German people as the ‘oil of angels’. This oil is often used in trauma therapy. Angelica, either singly or as part of a blend, seems to weaken the power of traumatic memories. The event still happened and the memory is still there, but the devastating effect on the body and the mind are greatly minimized. This function is probably related to Angelica’s ability to aid the liver by discharging toxins. The liver -according to the Chinese - is the seat of anger. Also use for anorexia, bruises, colds, colic, coughs, flatulence, indigestion, menopause, pre-menstrual tension and rheumatic conditions.
